Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim

This was a huge fashion extravaganza weeklong event showcasing all the new 2010 swimwear collections and the industry’s largest trade show. It was exciting to see all of next year’s fashions before the rest of the world will see it next summer. I had to model different swimwear pieces, and stand for hours in a freezing cold convention center to attract buyers to come into the booth. It was so cold that I actually started shivering and after two days in this, I ended up getting a sore throat for about a week after.
Every so often I had to change into a different bikini to keep it interesting. Luckily the designer I was modeling for had very nice bikinis that fit very well and flattered with excellent craftsmanship. Whenever a potential buyer came in, I had to try on anything they wanted to see, which can get pretty chaotic when their going through an entire catalog!

I was excited to work with Montana Pritchard again, his stuff is always cool, fun, and unique. This event was sure to be all that and was publicized on the radio earlier that morning. I was rushed into hair and make-up once I got there then changed into my first outfit. What made this photoshoot and event unique was that it was live, meaning all the club goers watched as the chaos and production of the whole thing took place. Also, that the chef artistically placed his food on the models. The look and theme of our outfits and sets was enough to grab your attention.
I had so much fun doing this, and didn’t actually notice the audience as much as I thought I would. I was only nervous as I walked down the stairway onto the set and locked out and saw just how many people were there, it was packed! Your just so focused on all the craziness going on at the moment being positioned, make-up brushes coming at your face for final touches, fingers in your hair making adjustments, listening to the photographer for direction, that you completely forgot about all the people back there.
We did three different sets, and after looking at all this yummy food so aesthetically pleasing I was dying to eat it! After the last set wrapped we had to pose for some media shots and coverage then we got to change into our party clothes. We celebrated in VIP with champagne and drinks and danced the night away.
